Chocolate and much more

Today, chocolate is no longer just chocolate. It is increasingly common to find combinations that a few years ago would have seemed strange, but which are now a trend among lovers of sweet (and salty) things. Well-known brands such as Lindt and other chocolate makers have started to experiment, creating combinations of flavours that make every bite a surprise.

  • Chocolates with liquor

This is one of the most classic combinations, but it is still a luxury. The touch of liquor, whether it is whisky, rum or fruit liqueur, gives an incredible depth of flavour to chocolate, especially when it is dark chocolate. It is perfect for treating yourself on special occasions or as an elegant gift.

  • Chocolate with salt

It may sound strange, but salt and chocolate make a spectacular combo. A small touch of sea salt in a bar of chocolate (dark or milk) intensifies the flavour of the cocoa and creates a contrast that surprises the palate. It is increasingly common to see “gourmet” chocolates with this salty touch, and once you try it, it is hard to go back.

  • Chocolate with fruit

Chocolate and fruit combinations have always been a classic, but now they go beyond chocolate with strawberry or banana. The most popular flavours are citrus fruits such as orange or raspberry, which with their acidic touch complement the sweetness of chocolate, or chocolate with mint. There are also chocolates with dried fruits such as blueberries or mango, which offer a different texture. These options are ideal for those looking for a refreshing and less cloying flavour.

  • Chocolate with caramel

This is the option for those who enjoy sweetness in its maximum splendour. Caramel provides an extra creaminess and sweetness that makes it difficult to stop eating. If you add a touch of salt to this, such as the salted caramel that is so fashionable, the experience goes up a level. This combination is irresistible, especially if the caramel is soft and slightly liquid in the centre.

At Let’s Chocolaat we have opted for a few combinations such as hot chocolate with hazelnut, white hot chocolate with red berries or our pack with gianduja or dark hazelnut chocolates.
